Luke started DoItRight after years of hands-on landscaping, on homes, on commercial sites and on big infrastructure jobs like the Puhoi to Warkworth motorway. He kept seeing the same gap: people wanted someone reliable who'd turn up and do the job properly.

Is it just you, or a crew?
It's just Luke. He's the owner-operator and does every job himself, from the first phone call to the final clean-up. No rotating crews and no subbies, so the person who quotes the job is the person who does it.
What areas do you cover?
Luke is based in Whitford and Brookby in East Auckland and works right across the region: as far south as Mercer, as far north as Orewa, and east and west in between. Pukekohe, Papakura, Manukau, Botany, Flat Bush, Clevedon, the North Shore and everywhere around them.
How much does lawn mowing cost?
Lawn mowing starts from $20. Bigger lawns, clearances, planting and landscaping jobs are quoted once Luke has seen what's involved.
Do you do one-off jobs or regular visits?
Both. Plenty of work is one-off: a clearance, a makeover, a planting job. If you'd rather not think about the lawn or garden at all, Luke can come back on a regular schedule and keep it that way.
Can you handle a really overgrown section?
Yes. Overgrown sections are a big part of the work. One recent customer in Mangere had a "jungle" that hid her clothesline. Luke cleared it back, noxious weeds and all, so she could use the section again.
Do you do landscaping and paving as well as gardening?
Yes. Luke has years of residential and commercial landscaping behind him, plus work on large infrastructure projects like the Puhoi to Warkworth motorway. Planting, garden makeovers, paving and driveway areas are all part of the job.
